Qualifications
and Credentials

I received an MA in Counseling Psychology in 2007 from Northwestern University and have an undergraduate degree in Finance. My training and clinical experience also includes the following:
  • I’ve been in private practice working with adults ages 18-40 for 15 years.
  • 8 years of experience working in college counseling centers and as an administrator in higher education.
  • 4 years of experience supervising graduate level interns and 5 years of experienceteaching college psychology courses and a graduate level supervision course.
  • I’ve been receiving training on Gestalt therapy through my own bi-weekly consultation for the past 5 years as well as Gestalt therapy trainings
  • 30 hour Supervision Training at Lewis and Clark College
My theoretical orientation is Gestalt and I provide long-term trauma-informed relational therapy. I was trained in psychoanalytic psychotherapy and would be a good fit for supervisees looking to work with a process-oriented, relational, trauma focused orientation.

My Approach to Supervision

It may be helpful to think of supervision as an intervention designed to aid in your professional development, ensure quality of care to your patients, and provide an ongoing evaluative environment. I hope to make space for a supportive and collaborative setting and will utilize a Gestalt and relational approach to supervision, which will involve me helping you tune into your experience as a clinician with your clients. My role will be to assist you in developing and/or strengthening a theoretical orientation, assess intervention strategies, form effective case conceptualizations, create treatment goals and plans, increase self-awareness, and practice in an ethically competent manner. I will act as a teacher, evaluator, and consultant at times in order to facilitate this process.

Additionally, I am able to provide support on your journey to licensure, including navigating decisions around careers in the field of counseling, starting a private practice, and navigating counter-transference and preventing burnout in your work as a new clinician.

Let me answer your questions

Will we meet online or in-person?

I can work with anyone located within the state of Oregon and I currently offer telehealth only but will possibly be offering in-person sessions in Bend in the coming year.

Do you take insurance?

Yes, I am currently an in-network provider with Aetna, Pacific Source and First Choice Health.

What if I have a different type of insurance or want to pay out of pocket?

My fees are $245 for the initial intake and $215 per 55-minute session. If you would like to use your out-of-network benefits, I will bill your insurance company on your behalf and your insurance company will reimburse you for a portion of the fee.

How long does it take to get relief?

Gestalt therapy is a long-term process so it does take time to heal. However, most clients report noticing increased awareness and small changes within a few months of working together.

What kind of time commitment is involved?

I provide weekly therapy meaning we will pick a time that works for both of us and we will meet weekly at that same time. I typically see clients for more than a year as it takes time to address long term behavior patterns and heal from past events.

Can we meet bi-weekly or monthly?

Unfortunately, I only provide weekly therapy as I believe weekly therapy is a level of therapy that people find therapeutic.

When can we start working together?

I am currently accepting new clients at the moment. If you'd like to explore if we'd be a good fit together I invite you to book a 30-minute initial consultation with me here.

How much does supervision cost?

Individual supervision is $150 per 55 minute session.

What Happens in a 30-Minute Consultation?

A video consultation is a great way for us to determine whether we think working together would be a good fit.

We will briefly discuss what is bringing you into therapy, how I might approach working with you, insurance, fees and scheduling.

It’s also a chance for you to ask me any specific questions that you have about me or my approach.
